The Gap in the Market

Three groups each lack something. Premium providers want high-spending guests but only have mass-discount channels, which cheapen their brand. Affluent customers have money but little time, and their perks are scattered across bank cards, hotel chains and separate apps. The platform owner wants to own the customer relationship and the spending data. Nobody in the target market offered a card that spans travel, gym, spa, health, dining and lifestyle.

The Product Concept

One paid membership card gives access to offers from many providers. The member journey has four steps: browse by category or distance, pick an offer and see how many uses remain, show a QR code at the counter, and watch the savings total update in the wallet. Offers are tied to membership tiers, and prepaid vouchers sit alongside them for items such as spa packages or health checks.

The Provider Side

A provider gets new high-value customers without an IT project. Counter staff scan codes in a phone or tablet browser, and the provider goes live on the app by filling in one form with photos, opening hours and tier-specific offers. Every redemption is logged with a time, a staff member and an invoice number, so monthly reconciliation can be checked line by line.

  • Onboarding through a single form
  • Every use recorded with time, staff and invoice number

How Codes and Vouchers Work

Anti-fraud rules are part of the design, not an afterthought. QR codes are signed by the server, change every 60 seconds and expire after 90. Where there is no camera, staff type a short member code plus the last four digits of the phone number, and the counter never sees the full number. Vouchers are single-use, tied to one wallet and marked as either platform-funded or provider-funded, which decides who bears the cost.

MVP Architecture

The MVP is three apps on one system: a member app for iPhone and Android, a counter web app, and an admin site for providers, offers, transactions, reconciliation and permissions. Data stays on cloud infrastructure in Vietnam, each role sees only its own slice, and every action is logged. Monthly reconciliation moves in one direction only, from summary to acceptance to payment, and records who did what at each step.

Open Risks Flagged Up Front

The design names its own weak points. A thin provider network at launch is handled by launching in one city and pre-loading offers. Collecting prepaid voucher money may need legal advice, so the first phase routes it through a licensed payment gateway or lets providers collect directly. Store approval is handled by collecting fees outside in-app purchase, with the model explained in the review notes.
